Initially I'm yes, my guns...but then I think of some things that are against the law that I think is wrong (pedophiles) but people doing it think is a freedom. And some things that are legal but not moral according to the 10 commandments.
Good points. I believe we should be free to do what we believe best without infringing on others. Of course, what exactly that means is open to debate.
I would offer for consideration that making purely religious rules illegal (by civil laws) infringes on our choice to make personal decisions to follow our religious beliefs.
IMHO, Much more should be left to personal choice closely coupled by personal responsibility. (Want to use drugs, fine. But don't straddle the rest of us with paying for your bad decisions.)

That's where common sense comes in. Unfortunately we seem to be breeding that out of ourselves.
