In my life, I've had some excellent models/examples of people I don't want to be like. While at first glance that might seem sad, it has helped me to realize the kind of person I want to be.

I went to a memorial. When toasting the deceased, not one person said the often quoted line, "To a life well lived." Now that is sad.
