Happy Halloween to all reading here.
Just a little FYI here. Many rescue centers, (not all) do not allow adoption of BLACK CATS around Halloween time. There have been too many terrible things done by cruel people. :(

The Petsmart I used to work at, long time ago, adopted out a black cat in October without even thinking about it. The next day, the manager went to open the store and found some cat parts on the stop sign in front of the store. The person that did it was caught right away because they filled out the adoption paperwork with their actual info. All PetSmarts then put out a policy stating no black cat adoptions in October. I have no idea if that policy still stands, this happened over 25 years ago
