Here's some incentive:

I have bought expensive Orpington eggs off ebay, I have used some from my own flock and I have also bought from a local chicken keeper (to eliminate the postage aspect) and apart from the very first hatch in it which was a combo of mine and the other local chap's eggs I have not had any luck at all. Once the weather warms up a little I will try again - never say die, that's me!

Just so you know, Brinsea has a 10% off coupon right now. The code is FBME10. Not to enable incubitis or anything!

I think Linda's pictures of all her incubators will do that enough!

Ahhh... A large viewing window and/or a mostly clear perspex top is something I'd really like. The bator I've got just now is very dark and it's hard to see when the eggs right at the back are rocking or pipping. I'd like something like a big aquarium so I can sit and egg-watch.

Incubitis? LOL! Thanks for the info; do you know if the coupon's valid worldwide? I'm in the UK...

Whereabouts are you, and is it specifically Orps you're looking to hatch? I could offer you some of my Daisies' eggs if you're nearish-by and interested.

I would love to try hatching some Daisies! I'm in Abdnshire/Moray border though so they would have to go through the mail but I am willing to give it a go if you are. If you have paypal I could pay you that way. Thanks for the offer!

I have paypal (ebay junkie, lol!) but I'd be happy to send you some Daisy eggs just for the cost of postage. I'd love to see more people keeping them! Mine are not what the current Daisy geeks would consider to be show quality but I think they're quite true to what the original Daisies were like. The cockerels have a quite 'traditional farmyard' look to them and the hens are very pretty. Can post photos if you'd like to see them. Good layers but small eggs - just 45g average! I'm incubating some eggs just now to check fertility and quality, and I have an additional Daisy pullet who should start laying very soon. Should probably be in a position to send eggs round about March, if that would suit you?
