R.I.P all my quail

I checked on my quail just a minute ago and all of them were dead

It doesn't look like any of them woke up because they were huddled like they were sleeping.I think it was the cold but it was only like 40-50 so I'm not sure.I miss them soo much!!

O that's terrible ! Sooo sorry for your loss.
were they Button quail?

JUST saw that they were indeed Button quail. The Buttons cannot take the cold . They are semi-tropic temperature birds and should be housed indoors where it's warm

Buttons should never be outside, especially not at this time of year. They cannot take the cold at all. Sorry you found out the hard way, but you could have done a few searches on here and found the information.

How old were they? It seems like they weren't even 2 months old yet unless you had others I'm not aware of.

Oh gosh.. I feel so bad now!! I didn't know that or I would have put a heat lamp in there,left them inside, or done something to prevent it..

Thanks for telling me tho,so next time I hatch some I will be alot more careful..Yes,they were my only quails.
