R.I.P Henry

My pekin hen Henry “Henrietta/Diva Duck” just passed away.

She seemed fine one moment and was gone when I went to check on her.

She was arthritic, blind, and 14 years old so I’m pretty sure this is age related. Her mate Olaf passed away about a month ago, fairly suddenly too but I had a feeling his heart had been losing strength for the past year, he was a 10 year old Jumbo pekin.

Henry was my very first bird and I miss her, her squeaks, her nuzzle attacks, her diva ness, but I’m proud she lived such a long full life. Rest well Ducky Girl

I hope we are all together again too, if anyone’s up there the animals are for sure, they are born into this world pure and somehow manage to keep that when so many of us humans fail.
