R.I.P Rocky!

I am gutted, I have just went up to my hens and found my 9 year old cockerel Rocky dead in the nest box! This pic was just taken yesterday afternoon and he was fine! I went to bury him and ended up digging a old hen up -__-, so I buried him with her because he liked that hen. I'm so sad, I had had him for 5 years on Friday . Now I am left with a nasty aggressive cockerel and one of the old hens Ginger will probably be on her way out because she HATES the young cockerel and he likes to mate her the most and Rocky always came to her rescue! R.I.P Rocky.

I'm so sorry about Rocky. He was so handsome. It sounds like he lived a good, long life, but it is always hard to lose a good chicken.

So sorry, Johnn... BUT wow! Not a lot of people can say that they've had a rooster live as long as Rocky had. He sure had a nice long happy life!
