I had this just happen to 2 of my ducks and I think I saw the predator this morning coming back for more. It was big and flying, so my guess is an owl!

I found a free range chicken in my yard with just the head and neck gone, not even any feathers scattered around, I was told by farmers in the area that an owl was the most likely predator.
