My beautiful Stripes was dead this morning in her house - I am not entirely surprised, she hasn't been eating much the last few days, she was drinking though.

I went looking for her last night ( 25th December) and found her in the snow..... I carried her indoors with her companions and laid her down, she was dead this morning:hit but at least she was with her Brother's and Sister's - she was only 18 months old - sad for me but at least she wasn't alone - R.I.P. my baby - I love you and will do forever

The cold winter must just have been too much for her. So sorry to hear of your loss. Its never easy to loose them...but around the holiday season it hurts just that little bit more.

Very sorry for your loss. Everyone here on this board can relate and knows how much these furry quacker butts mean to us. You are in my thoughts.

Thanks for your kind messages - I can't even bury her yet as the ground is frozen - she is in a safe place and I will dig her grave as soon as the weather improves - she will rest with my chickens, Mary, Amber, and my beloved Silkie chick Petite all of whom died this year.

You will NEVER be forgotten.....

Love you all
