My baby died and I don’t know why.... I’m hysterical right now... at first beans was the only one but now carrot is all alone... I don’t know what to do... I came here for comfort and advice on what I should do... I just paid a little over $30 for chick supplies and now I have one... what’s the best option for this little guy... he’s 2-3 days old... carrot is alive he’s the orange/yellow one..

If she's only 2 or 3 days old, call around the feed supply stores and you can probably find her a buddy or two for around $3-$5 each who are within a few days of her age. Likely won't be a fancy breed, but chickens do much better with a flock. And the common breeds are popular for a reason - they are generally sweet birds who lay a lot of eggs. :)

You can also check with local breeders, but you are more likely to get straight run (not sorted by sex), and they may or may not be NPIPcertified or vaccinate the chicks. But they have cooler breeds often.
