if they do sell some diffrent kinda poultry feed will tht screw up my hens when it comes to there egg layn? cuz ive been feeding DUMOR feed to my chickens since i started doing chickens for a hobby so there kinda use to eating dumor would the eat a new brand of feed or not?

I haven't heard that rumor. However to answer your question yes it is possible that they will eat a new feed but it may take some getting used to.

Dumor is actually made by Purina, just a less expensive product, and I think it is more powdery. My TSC sells both, and the Purina isn't much more per bag. Have you actually asked the people at TSC if this is true, or maybe just another internet rumor?

DuMor is merely TSC's house brand, packed for them by Purina anyhow. I've not heard anything about TSC dropping the DuMor packaging, but frankly, it makes some sense. Having both their own version of Purina sitting next to Purina takes up shelving space and it is just something else to handle.

DuMor only saves a few cents anyhow. Our TSCs has always sold both side by side. Time will tell if the rumors are true.

The price difference between the two at my TSC is actually significant. That said, I've been hearing that rumor as long as I've been keeping chooks, but every time I go into TSC its still on the shelves.....

i was in there the otherday geting a bag of oyster shell & forgot to ask them

From a TSC employee at another forum.... http://www.horsegroomingsupplies.com/horse-forums/dumor-feed-71638.html

Dumor feed is a line of feed made by purina mills and is sold only in tractor supply stores. They have come a long way and we sell a long line of their feeds from alpacas to horses to chickens with a lot of good results. of course with any feed you may have a case where an animal does not respond well with this feed just like any other feed. They have now come out with 3 new feeds to compare to strategy and omaline 100 and 200.they have equistages wich is a almost exact comparison to strategy except the fiber content is different by about 1%. which means nothing to a horse from ages 2 to 25. so encourage all to try the dumor line of feed. Dumor is made only because tractor supply company has a policy where they cannot carry a feed with a purina logo on it. If any of you have any questions regarding any dumor, kent, evergreen or blue seal feed please feel free to ask i deal with these companies on a daily basis.

I have always been told that Dumor is made by Purina. I did have a question as to why it was on the Cargill list of recalls in Louisiana the other day. It would be nice if TSC sold something other than Purina & Purina made products. That's all anyone sells around here & I don't buy it. Many places sell Buckeye stuff for horses, but then only Purina for chickens.
