Once,I bought 6 peafowl eggs-assorted colors. That gentleman generously shipped10 of them-individually wraped with bubble wrap exceedingly well and lots of shredded paper as a cushion in the box. They arrived intact safely.I incubated them at 99.5 F and 50% humidity. The result was -none of them hatched. Also there was no indication of any initiation of growth inside the eggs.My conclusion is- that the respiratoty process was arrested for 2-3 days when wrapped with plastic or may the embryos have gotten detached from the yolk, due to the vibration and shaking they suffered in transit. Since then, I decided not to have the eggs shipped. And I do not to ship the eggs for the same said reason above.. We learn from our experiences.

I bought some eggs off a guy and put them in the nest with my Toulouse Goose...she hatched them and then I stole them..a few days later she hatched her goslings and was all happy! She is a good mommy! I buy and ship eggs all the time..and especially this yr. My ppl are reporting back great hatching results...sorry about your bad luck

Pedda munnangi,,you maybe could have saved yourself a lot of grief and candled them first to see if the airsack was floating around. If thats the case,,save yourself from getting high hopes, and pitch them right away.I've tried countless times attempting to get dislodged airsacked eggs to hatch,,I've left them sit upright for 4 days in the bottom of the bator,,and never seen so much as a baby hairs size blood vessel appear. If the postmen played field hockey with the box,,it's your loss, and I bet they just start grinning when they see a box marked "Fragile-Hatching Eggs",,"It's field goal practice time" and your box of eggs is the new foorball

erijn5,,my budget is spent this spring,,on completing the Pea Palace and having to buy four nice birds,,I had to buy a Midnight B/S male, and I found a BEEAUTIFUL,,,STUNNING,,Purple Black Shoulder Silver Pied male,,and I'm getting two hens,,both black shoulder, one a dark pied the other a silver pied.

Yes it was beautiful..I don't remember what is was...it was a cross though..The audience was saying they own a peacock farm in OHIO and buy only the best and they will beid till they win the bird, so might as well not try.. There are so many up there! Wagons and wagons I was amazed!
