Rabbit breeders/showers?

I used to raise rabbits. i couldn't settle on just one breed. My favorites were the red and broken red satins, also had blues. Siamese Satins were cool too, but I didn't raise them. I also had Dutch, ND, NZW, NZR, Cal's. I was getting some beautiful Harlequin Dutch! Blue and Chocolate Dutch were in there too, but those are so hard to breed to get show quality.

Now that barn is being changed over to raise chickens and goats. Remodeling is no fun, but it will be nice when I'm done. The building definately needs a makeover!

I show , breed and raise Silver Fox and French Lops

About two weeks ago someone traded me four silver foxes (with paperwork) for some future hatches. I had never seen them before but they are gorgeous! My DD already had seven generic bunnies. . . GASP could this mark the be the beginning of another spiral into animal addiction? DO people get hooked on rabbits??

I raise papered SQ Standard Rex, though I don't show them the person I bought my original stock does and she has won several times with them. I also have a few mutt breeds. They are fun! I have 3 litters due the 18th of this month. One is an Opal Rex X Castor Rex that missed her last due date, I sure hope she is settled this time! Then I have 2 medium-sized mutt does (I'm guessing they are about 6 lb.). One has rex fur other has normal fur. One is orange the other is castor. The orange one was bred to a standard broken Castor Rex, and the castor was bred to another castor Rex buck. My fingers are crossed!

Watch out...that's another addiction just waiting to surface...We started with 2 rabbits (same sex)...and over the course of a summer we ended up with 30+ rabbits (not all from breedings). We purchased some couldn't choose just one so the girls each have there own of each kind..lol

Oh, that's just what I need another addiction, considering that the last one began with six feed mill chicks and fond memories of youthful country living before it 'morphed into multiple sheds, calf hutches, barns, pens, houses & finally a pole barn. . . SIGH I guess I shouldn't have stopped smoking, it would have been cheaper in the long run;>)

I raise and show Texel Cavies, they arent bunnies but all the shows are usually held in conjunction with the rabbit shows. I have about 30 cavies and attend as many shows I can in California, Arizona and Nevada.

Its super exciting this year the ARBA National convention is in San Diego the show grounds only about 45 mins from me, Its in November. Anyone else with plans to attend?

Oh you lucky! I want to go, but I don't have anything to show this year-all my animals are breeding now. I was looking at the convention info. on the arba site, and San Diego looks like so much fun. I'm just hoping that 2011 will be somewhere closer to me, but I think it will be East coast. Guess I'll have to wait until 2012
