No, the male I bred just came out of breeding age. We just started Rexes, Cocoa and Coffee were our first set. The male belongs to a friend who just stopped Rexes and moved on to Mini Hotots. He is like 6 years old. We were surprised that Coffee kitted her 7 kits at all. This is her first litter. (Before you ask, the 2 runts died before we switched feed of unknown causes for one and the other escaped the cage)
 
I am not sure I would imagine it’s just like chickens and just a good preventative and if they pass you’ll be looking for white spots on the liver I would wear gloves to be safe just because your not sure what it is and rabbits can carry a couple of diseases that can be passed to humans such as tularemia (through blood contact to open cuts or such). The white spots will look kind of like pimples on the liver.
