Rabbit emergency, leg cut!

Something got into our yard and rabbit house, one's gone the other has a large cut on her back leg. It's from mid thigh to knee, the skin's folded over and it's got hair in it. I wasn't home and this happened earlier this afternoon, she's been in a box with food/water since. She seems to have calmed, what should I do? Wash it, just water? What about for the pain?

Our rooster's missing, a dog maybe?

Whatever it was ripped through what I thought was a raccoon-proof house. It must have been starving or something, there was nothing left of our other bun.

If it were my bunny, I would wash it out with water and try to wrap it. I would definately keep her immobalized best you can. and obviously, try to get her to a vet to get it stiched up.
for pain.. I don't know...

I'm so very sorry. How awful. Wish it wasn't so but rabbit recovery from a severe dog attack can be iffy even with the best of vet care because of shock, infection, possible internal injuries, and pain. It needs quick treatment. Sadly, home treatment will usually not have very good odds for recovery. If attempting home treatment only and just hoping for the best, I'd thoroughly clean out the wound using gauze and a weak betadine/water solution and clip off the loose skin, then clean and apply vetericyn several times a day and keep the rabbit warm in a quiet spot. I wouldn't use any ointments. I think lidocaine or aspirin or other med dosages for pain (and to hopefully keep even more shock at bay from pain alone) should initially be set by a vet since those can cause their own problems. Hoping the best for you rabbit.

I hate to reply again because I am by no means an expert with bunnies. but I was thinking that it would be better for a vet to determine the Pain med for your rabbit. and I only say that because they can get her weight and then determine what and how much of it to give. I know I'd rather not pay the Vet bill. but, then again, I would hate to chance giving too much by accident and harming her. that is my humble opinion.. I hope someone with more knowledge will give you another idea.

She is doing much better, eating, drinking, dumping bowls of water.

It's healing wonderfully, I trimmed the hair and cleaned it.

Hi, my yorkie found a baby bunny under the sidings and she got to its leg. Rabbit is 4 inches size of my hand...I know it's wild. D I feel guilty. I have it in quiet safe warm spot & cleaned her wound with peroxide. I gave her almond milk & left carrots. She pooped few times between 9pm last night & today. I'm thinking if I give to wild life rescue line Sarvey, they probably will just kill it. What should i do?
