Today some bunny let her babies go today and the dogs got into them we had to kill one, and let the others go but this one bunny was sooooooo cute I had to hold it and pet it longer then the other ones, well...... now it lost its wild side I have it outside under a piece of bark with moss on it and I gave it some red cabbage to eat. I have no where to put the bunny if it has lost its wild side, does anyone know what I should do? :barnie

Most wild rabbits kept by people (even people who mean well) will not survive.

It needs a safe place away from predators(a thicket or berry patch is good for that) and away from people. It's instincts should then kick in.

If it doesn't leave it will need to be taken to a wildlife rehabber for it's best chance of survival.

American cotton tails are not like pet rabbits, which are from Europe and a different species. Once they're out and about they're basically ready to live without mom. If the baby has its eyes open and is hopping around, maybe about the size of your palm, it's big enough to live without mom. It'll be fine out there on it's own, or it will make its way back to mom.

If your dogs got into a nest then the baby needs to go to a rehaber, but chances are it will pass. They are notoriously hard to raise. Cotton tails also do badly in captivity as adults. They're just not able to cope with the stress of the human environment.
