my rabbit is 32 days gestation this morning she started to build a nest and could see her contracting, an hour later I went to check and she was still contracting but no babies but quite a bit of blood, rang the vets they scanned her and gave her oxytocin and said to wait an hour if nothing happens either an emergency section or put to sleep, since getting her home her contractions have stopped and she’s active and happy, has anyone experienced this and everything being ok or £500 for a section is not an option and really don’t want to put her to sleep (scan was for a blockage so didn’t check heartbeats)
Can the contracting re start and she has them naturally ?

Update* she has passed 1 very large kit in the night but I can still feel more in her stomach
Sorry for the late reply. How's she doing now? If she passed the one, she should be fine, just let her do her thing. It's not good to interfere when it comes to rabbits. They know what they're doing.

She’s fine in herself eating and drinking, I’ve left her alone just worried what will happen if she doesn’t pass the others

If she doesn't pass them, it is very risky, but her body will know what to do. She may reabsorb them or they may calcify. Are you sure that there were multiple babies?
