rabbit question please answer! UPDATE 2 BUCKS 1 DOE

It is generally better to take the doe to the buck because 1) Does can be very territorial and will attack(which is not the case here, but could happen) or 2) the buck will be too interested in his new suroundings or what happened in your case.
I agree with flashpointfarm, some traits like aggressiveness is passed down, so you may want to watch for that.

WHAT???
closed season ? what the heck is that? I have been breeding and raising rabbits for 20 years and I have never ever heard that term.
what you have is a nasty buck who needs to find a stew pot somewhere. You had to have gotten that from a book that obviously has no reson to be truthful.
This is June for heavens sake not the middle of winter with the short days, I have no clue what that book is refering to.
Usually when a buck acts that aggressive the doe will have nothing further to do with him.
get a different buck when the doe heals up but do not be surprised if she refuses to breed ever again.
she will be buck shy to say the least.

I really agree with the stew pot comment. And rabbits do breed all year round. There is never a closed season.

I agree with this as well. I raised and showed satins for 6 years and now raise and show mini rex. I've never had an issue like this or heard of anyone else who has. I would really suggest that you not breed this buck's aggressiveness into your line. Sorry this happened to you and your doe
