If you have 2 females that have been living together for awhile and one gets bred, will she start to pull the fur out of the other female to make a nest? Or... could her being bred cause the other to have a “false pregnancy”? First time breeders here.

I would certainly imagine that it would be possible, as it’s more convenient than pulling out their own fur, if you know what I mean. :p If it becomes a problem I would keep them separate.

Absolutely, a doe will yank fur off of anything that is available, whether it be another doe, a buck, or even her own babies from a litter born a few weeks previous. In fact, with my very first pair of rabbits, the person who gave them to me thought the white one was the doe, because the fur in the nest was white, and they were a bit shocked when I told them no, the white one was most definitely a buck! (they had a surprise litter from what they had thought was two does)

Thank you so much for the info!
