French angoras weigh between 7-10.5 lbs. My buck, the broken chestnut appears huge but is mostly wool. Their wool grows to about 8 inches.

That must be tough to brush and manage. All i have ever owned was mini rex and have never seen one up close. Thats why i asked

They are actually pretty easy to maintain. I don't spend a huge amount of time grooming them, and usually any mats they have are easily plucked out. Of course, leave them too long without grooming and the mats are worse and close to the skin, so we don't wait longer than a week to groom them.
