Rabbit's DON'T belong in cages!!!

I would like to say that in my experience, rabbits given more space are also friendlier and - believe it or not - easier to catch. My rabbit was a big grouch who wanted nothing to do with us until we got her litter box trained and let her live cage free in our screened in porch. She became happier and actively interacted with us, instead of freaking out every time we tried to interact with her. She would bop our dogs on the nose when they bothered her and try to follow them inside when she wanted to get some more petting. She enjoyed running laps around the porch and making obstacle courses for herself by running in tight curves around table and chair legs. She also adored light rains. Caged rabbits just don't get to exercise and display their personalities like that.

i totally agree. if i were a rabbit i would rather feel like i am choosing to stay rather then feeling like a prisoner

That is true the rabbits in cages probably feel like prisoners and are one's pretty much, look at real prisoners there miserable as well and the one's not in there enjoy there lives and are free to run and do whatever. Hanna8 that is great about your rabbit I bet she is loving hopping around through the chairs and everything else good job!!!!

How would the rabbits in cages feel like prisoners? If the cage is the only place they have ever lived, it would feel like home to them.

Mine are sort of like SternRose. They have a large cage made out of a chicken run with two houses to hide in and tunnels and toys. I can't even reach them when they're in the back of the cage. But sometimes I let them out and they run full blast (they can hop and run in their cage). They like both. They enjoy being out but they also like to go back in.
