rabbits in Austin Texas area?

I'm looking for holland lop rabbits in the Austin, Texas area. Anyone know of any? I'm not having any luck thru classifieds or feed / pet stores.

There is a large Rabbit and Cavy show coming up on the 18th of this month in Yoakum, TX held by the South Texas Rabbit Breeders Association. That is about and hour and 45 minutes from Austin south of you. I know as I have driven from here to Austin many times for a cavy show. LOL Anyhow, this show has exhibitors and breeders of all sorts of rabbits and cavies. I don't know any rabbit breeders personally that do the lops, but I have seen all sorts of breeds at this show. The show is held in the Yoakum City park and also is the annual BBQ. Really a fun show. There is no charge to go see a show other than if you buy a plate of food (which I HIGHLY recommend - YUM!) There are always animals for sale and if not you can find a breeder for something in the future.

OHHHHH and that reminds me! The Texas Rabbit Breeders Association State show is going on in Belton this weekend. It is being held at the Bell Expo. It is listed first on this link.

The Holland Lop Rabbit Specialty Club lists a few breeders in Texas, I'm not sure how close any of them are to Austin. You might write a few of them and see if they know of any others closer to you. http://www.hlrsc.com/
