I'm wanting to get my rabbits out of the cage and will very soon,a rabbit's life isn't to sit on a wire floor cage that's small. There real life is to run, hop, dig, nibble grass, lay in the sun and shade, and just be rabbits. I'm gonna dig down a couple feet than put wire than fill it back up and fence that area in than put a little house/box in there than put the rabbits in once the weeds and grass have grown a bit. I can't wait till they get out of the cages and into there pen where they can dig tunnels, live together, and live a happier/healthier,natural life!! If you have done this PLEASE post pics or what you did thanks!!!!

For a few years we had three rabbits that free ranged in our backyard. It was so fun... They would hop around with the squirrels and butterflies and birds. It was like a Disney movie. Lol. The bunnies were so happy. Eventually we got new neighbors that had large dogs though and the fence wasn't strong enough for them. The dogs killed two of the rabbits. About a week later the third rabbit just disappeared. He was the smallest of them. We couldn't find any holes or a way he could have gotten out... I'm pretty sure a hawk got him. :/

My rabbits are house rabbits, though I do take them outside occasionally. Mostly(during the winter) thier playtime is on my blanket. Pepper(my boy) loves straightening out the wrinkles. Its so cute!! :)

We have built bit walk in runs for our rabbits, they really enjoy them :) Because we breed Netherland Dwarfs though, I have found that our don't dig much, if at all. So we didn't even bother to dig the wire down and they're all fine. I really love watching them hop around, binkying and everything :) We have a netting roof for our run, because we do have a few cats around plus hawks etc being semi rural. I will post pics soon

Mine are breeders for meat rabbits, so they are in cages a lot. We let them out for "play time" and also put them in with each other periodically. I should consider a "run" or something for them though. I wanted to build them a "tractor" but then they can get worms..

Yup,they won't won't get worms from being in there. You might of heard something like if a coon or something pee's on the grass and the rabbits eat it they can get sick or something. But no it will make them healthier

Worms as in parasites. Although according to another website I read there is a semi easy fix.
