Today I purchased two Meat rabbit bucks. I currently have 3 Rex Does and I got my two bucks home and I realized that the two Meat rabbits I bought are Mini Rex Rabbits instead of the standard Rex. Can I still breed them or no?

There seem to be a lot of what some people call "midi Rex" running around; rabbits that aren't as big as standard Rex should be (7 1/2 to 10 1/2 lbs) but are well over the Mini Rex's maximum weight of 4 1/2 lbs. Yes, you can breed them together ; you wouldn't be the first to do that, not by a long shot! The Mini Rex is a solid, meaty little animal, so you should be getting good meat-to -bone ratios on your fryers, though you will probably have to wait a little longer for them to reach slaughter weight.
