Hello ya'll! I'm joining this thread if you don't mind, because I've FINALLY convinced a certain someone that 3 dogs, 4 cats, 13 chickens and 3 ducks wasn't enough animals.

. We will be getting a rabbit before april, not QUITE sure of the exact date, as I'm redoing an old hen house into a rabbit hutch, and it will take time, but definitely in the next few months! I have some questions of breeds though. What I'm looking for: Naturally healthy (apparently some breeds are prone to teeth issues, ear mites, etc) larger, around 6-12 lbs. Docile/very friendly: I'll be spending at least an hour with the rabbit every day, so I don't want a naturally skittish breed! Also, just for fun, I would like to train it to come when called, etc, so preferably a smart breed. There's a local producer of New Zealand Whites around here, and from what I can find out, they fit this criteria. Any others that might?

I with you on the zoo population in home. I can't speak on breed itself . But it depends on what you want. Meat show rabbits registered rabbits pets good with kids for breeding. You could possibly go to the registration site to look around. I looked at it briefly .it depends where you get it also backyard breeder pet store Hatchery's feed store Craig's list. Watch what you buy not all breeder our the same
