Rabbits!

I thought my partner was going to get a little bit bigger one for her. (Albino) we will have to make due until I can get a bigger one. I but her on the formula if she will drink it. Only when she's nursing it will be available to her. Her water went to food area.i tried to give her a little with a syringe. It was a struggle. Any suggestions on how to get her to drink it.

I give her water in this so it's easier and when the kits get bigger I won't have to water 3 or 4 X a day. I put the milk supplement in a water bottle and leave it with her all day so she can proses it and turn it in to her own. The nipple on the bottom is just for rabbits. I spent about 10 bucks to make it. I got everything at lows except the nipple that I got online.

I wouldn't put liquid milk supplement in a bottle and leave it - bacteria will grow in it pretty quickly (the warmer the room temperature, the faster bacteria grow). You could give your doe diarrhea or worse this way. A doe that is nursing a large litter may need extra calcium, but it would be better to give it to her in a dry form (like calf manna) or maybe as bread soaked in milk - something you can remove if it doesn't get consumed within a few minutes.

I've actually been *thinking* of getting some rabbits for meat reasons..but not even sure where to start. I mean...we could go to the pet store, but I don't know where the get their animals from...so that thought isnt sitting too well with me.

I guess it's another excuse to surf Google.

I have found that in most states you can find little local livestock auctions that is where I acquired most of mine I currently own 3 Registered Dutch rabbits.

the room is 50 degrees u think it is still to hot? I'm new at the baby thing. I sell it when I changed it every day and it doesn't smell bad . And her poop looks normal a little bigger but normal.
