Normal gestation in rabbits is about 31 days, though mine often kindle on day 32. Over the years, I have had just a few that gave birth on day 28 or 29, and they were carrying huge litters. It isn't unusual for a rabbit that has conceived a small litter to go to day 32 or 33. Does that are carrying only one or two kits frequently go to day 34 or 35, but by then, the kits are often very large, and the birthing process takes so long that they rarely survive. Occasionally a doe will fail to pass one or more kits, and it isn't unusual for those kits to mummify inside the doe. I have heard that this can result in the loss of fertility by the doe, though having seen a few of these fetal mummies get born along with normal live kits, I know this is not always the case.everything works out! I'm new to rabbits, and only have 1 pet, so I'm not much help. Is it possible to take her to a vet? If the kits died in the womb, that will kill her?![]()
Have you tried palpating her?
