I agree that making sure your babies are lock securely inside their coop at night is most important, then get that live trap.

This picture was taken last night inside my run which is covered with heavy duty aviary netting. It keeps hawks out and chickens in ~ doesn't keep coons out! I make sure my chickens are all locked up at dusk every night or earlier if I have to be out after dark.
This is raccoon #3 which unfortunately got away. The first 2 didn't.

Ok. Mulberry (the silkie) has no major wounds that I can see. It's a bit difficult with black skin, but it looks like a handful of feathers were ripped out and a bit of skin with each feather. She cheerfully pecked me as I was washing and snacked on the cracked corn when I put her back in her box.

I put a couple handfuls of food in the coop for the others. I figured I always feel better after I eat, so it can't hurt.

I think it's time for me to have some food as well.

These were taken last fall when we could here alot of noises outside. ALL these predators came within a 4 hour time span right outside my barn doors

Thank goodness we have them all under lock and key at night or else one if not all of these predators would have killed my flocks in one night~

after raising a beautiful flock of cuckoo marans,and light brahmas....they got attacked last week. i lost eleven girls, including a beautiful cuckoo maran rooster. i live in town, and keep my girls out of town. well i decided enough is enough. i took the carrier out and rounded them all up. gave away 6 white rocks, that were 2 years old. 6 light brahmas and 6 cuckoo marans. i stopped along the way home at a farm, they had chickens. she ended up wanting the boy brahmas, i gave her for free. she bought the 4 brahma pullets, and 2 marans. the marans just started laying. i know they have a good home, and i am still illegal but i brought 4 marans back with me. they settled in pretty nice with my 2 spoiled ones.
a racoon had been killing 1 to 2 every night for the past week. i don't know what else to do but bring them to my home in town.

and.... i put out a live trap, with a hot dog in it. it was not touched, and i had 2 more dead chickens. racoons are NOT cute.

I'm glad your silkie is doing better! I agree with the other posters that you should leave the chicks in their coop until they are comfortable to come out on their own. What kind of wire do you have on your coop? Raccoons can tear through chicken wire so it is best to use welded wire, or galvanized hardware cloth- or both

Then if possible bury the wire, or make a wire skirt around the coop and run so that nothing can dig in. I hope that you don't have any more trouble from that raccoon!
