Sometimes it's hard to know for sure, he may be really, really sore and have swelling that makes breathing hard, or it may be worse. It's hard to say since we can't see him. If he's drinking, I would continue to offer water often. I always give them time, you can always decide to end it if you feel he is suffering and there isn't hope of getting better. I've seen some birds recover from some horrific things, but every case is different.![]()
Hello coach723, they are resilient creatures that is for sure. I’ve been giving him poultry vitamin water and a bit of yogurt. I hold the water to his beak and he takes small sips, I’m not sure that he’s getting enough, I have a waterer in with him but his eyes are closed so he cannot find it on his own.
I’m holding out hope for him to make it but it’s just a day by day situation.Thank you so much for your encouragement in this!
