One of my hens was bitten by a raccoon and lived to tell about it. I was wondering if the hens eggs are still safe to eat? The raccoon had the hen pulled up against the wire but I interupted the attack shortly after it began. The bite did not go into the meat of the hen, only broke the skin. The whole wound is about the size of a thumb nail. The attack was two days ago and the hen is acting as healthy as ever. Any Ideas?

Chickens do not get rabies so the eggs should be safe to eat :)
