Raccoon On the ROOF!!!!!!

I've trapped two coons and a possum this week. This morning, I found a pile of raccoon scat on the chicken coop roof.

I *think* the coop is strong enough. I know how strong coons are, they moved concrete bloocks off the feed container lids and had a snack on feed. The duck pen and pheasants runs are mostly strong. Looks like I may be in for a siege.

PS: I know about killing animals and worrying about going to hell or karma.... So I rationalize it this way:.I dont "kill" the raccoons, I give them swimming lessons. One of these days, I'll remember to let them out of the trap first.

You'll probably get a lot of really good ideas about predator-proofing the coop if you check out the Coop and Run Design and Construction area of the forum.

Mags? How's "Fort Knox" coming along?

Just curious about your progress. I trapped three more raccoons next to the coop since I first posted.

Yesterday at 10:40 PM I killed one with one single shot, I was so happy, and starting loughing loud, my wife came out to see what was all that screeming about

Does anyone know if Electric wiring will keep Predators away from your coop and run ?
And, how much does it cost to install and is it easy ?? I would love to know what other people think about this . Thanks.....................My neighbor swears this dosn't really work.
