Raccoon or other??

Still nothing. My hubby put a big ham bone in the trap and attached the rope to the bone and the door trigger. We put a paver on top of the trap and propped some sticks up against it so it doesn't stick out as much.

Maybe we'll switch to marshmallows tonight...or jelly and an egg or two.

Lollipop...I may just be PMing you in a day or two!!

Thanks All!!

if it is a raccoon and you want to permanently rid yourself of the predator. Buy golden malrin at Rural King or another farm store( it is usually located in the fly bait department) and mix it with cherry coke and leave it outside. Don't leave it any place where your birds or pets can drink it. It is very toxic to any type of animal most raccoons I have killed with it have only made it five feet from the bait station.

That sounds like a great idea BUT I don't know that we could 100% keep our cats or dogs away from it. Lemme think about that.

Don't you worry, though...if we catch a raccoon or other predator in the trap it will not be relocated.

Oh, BTW, tonight, there are 3 marshmallows hanging from fishing line that will trip the door. There are also two whole eggs in there behind the plate.

I threw a marshmallow 20ft or so up the trail and also put one right by the entrance to the door.

We covered the trap in white feed bags and rather than putting pavers on top to hold it down, hubby nailed a steel rod through the bars into the ground.
