I did it! Works great too, except for the occasional bird getting shut out. But we're dealing with that on another thread.

I built it based on Slinky's design at

I luv it! Smart idea to cover the internals with plexiglass.

The main cost is in the motor, $90, so total cost was about $110.
I have 110 AC power in the coop and use a simple lamp timer to operate it.
