Raccoon(s?) raising worries

It doesn't take a coon long to learn that a dog behind a door barking can't hurt you, nor can its urine. Same with our ringcam lights around. After a while they don't care.

If you put the dog out, now you're dealing with whether you really trust your chickens around the dog. And if the fight goes off (you can watch 'em on YT), that'll bring the whole neighborhood and animal control around here.
I agree, for most dogs, but my dog is not most dogs. He is half Kangal and is VERY good at his job.

It's necessary to truly predator proof your coop and run! Hardware cloth, at least, well secured, over every opening. Secure door latches, dig proof, and solid.
Leaving any food attracts every predator around, and they all like chicken too!
Here we feed the cats meals, no food out, and no chicken food outside of their safe coop and run.
Only trap if you will the shoot!!! Relocating them is illegal in many states, for good reasons.
And they all come in family groups too.

If your dog is completely chicken-prey free, I'd contract for you and the dog to come stake out my raccoon problem.

But then again even if he found it noise and commotion would result. Like this:

About a minute of this would bring animal control during the day. At night it'd probably bring the PD.

When my dog was a pup he corderd a coon and barked till my dad came and shot it. Now he is 150 lbs and would prob just kill it easy (he has proven extreamly good at predator prevention.)
