Racist chickens.

Hello all! I started my flock out from chicks. I had 17 total. All hens 1 rooster. All the hens are brown Hubbards. The rooster is large mostly white with black feathers throughout. I say this cause I'm not sure of the breed. Recently I had a friend that needed some hens so I traded 5 of my hens for another rooster and another hen. I wanted to thin my flock out a Lil. The hen I got is all white and equal in size to the Hubbards. For whatever reason they will not let her leave the hen house to go outside to the outdoor coop. As soon as she flies down they instantly attack her. The hens and rooster join in the fun. Any idea on why they do so?
 
Not racist. You just cannot throw a strange chicken into an established flock and expect

First a new bird should be quarantined for a few weeks so you know she isn't carrying any disease, etc that could wipe out you flock. Check her over well for mites, lice, and if there is any doubt worm her.

Secondly when it is time to introduce her(properly) to the flock use wire partitions to divide coop/run
so she is on one side of the fence and they are on the other. This way they can see each other without bloodshed. Once she is no longer a' chicken of interest,' you can add her to the flock while you standby to see how things go.

You've gotta expect that when you put a single hen into an established flock. They have to teach her they are in charge and at the top of the pecking order. Hopefully they won't hurt her, but keep an eye on her. Within 3 or 4 weeks she should be completely accepted and spending time with other chickens.

Yes, this pecking could very well be the pecking order. Make sure there are plenty of hideaways and space. If she gets bullied separate her.
