my 2mos female chick lost her comb and most of her upper beak. The gapping wound is healing but I'm worried about her beak. I've been feeding her ground feed and worms in water which she can eat with some help. Will her beak grow back? And how do I put her back with the flock? Please help, we named her Macaw, she loves to peep and peep and peep. Denise

Oh no, thats terrible, poor girl. I was reading on here just yeaterday that their beaks to grow back. Let me see if I can find the thread.

Thanks, that was a great thread. I also learned about yogurt and crushed egg shells. Macaw is really doing well, I'm keeping triple antibiotic ointment on the wound. I have to be careful because you can see the holes for her nostrils. She started turning her head sideways to eat as she has no upper beak at all. I really appreciate the help, she's my new baby and she's won our hearts. Denise
