I use a half ear of sweet corn placed behind the trip pan in a large live trap. I've caught as many as four at a time [either the young or a sow with kits] and countless singles. Several of the other baits mentioned have resulted in someone's pet cat spending the night locked in the trap, preventing any raccoons from being caught.
