where did you buy that trap? i am so angry with stupid coons killing my chickens i feel like i could kill one with my bare hands... obviously i won't, but if i get a trap like that my friend can come over and shoot it for me.. i'm at war with these nasty creatures.
 
Love my dukes, I dont think I will ever use my live trap again. They do catch skunks

. And opposums just don't reach down the trap enough to triiger it (most of the time). If the bait is missing and the trap is has not been set off then it was most likely a opposum.

A 9 day test with 6 traps at my hunting property caught 15 raccoons.

I caught 2 raccoons this spring at my house, and just finished up catching 8 raccoons, 1 skunk and 1 opposum stealing bait in 4 days with 3 traps.
 
I have a question, I set a live trap with peanut butter, marshmallows and raisins, and caught two racoons the first night, last night we caught another one. Is it possible that I am bringing more in by baiting? Or are they all there already? They haven't gotten my chickens or ducks, yet. They are currently satisfied with knocking over my food storage containers, but am afraid they are going to move on to my chickens and ducks. I don't like killing them, but it is either them or my animals...

They are already there. The more you can eliminate the better off you will be. They get the corn and watermellons in my truck patch also.
