I dewormed my flock in early May with Valbazen. We had Tons of precipitation in the winter, spring, and early summer, and today I saw worms in one of my birds' droppings. So I have to deworm again, 2.4 months later! Is it necessary to use a different wormer than Valbazen for this round? I do also have Wazine (can't find an expiration date on it) & liquid Safeguard (expired 5-2018!). Before May, I had NOT dewormed in the fall.
One benefit of using Valbazen is that I will not be in town on a 10th day to re-treat if I treat them tomorrow. Valbazen suggested re-dosing is in/up to 14 days, which would fit perfectly with my schedule. If I use something that must be re-dosed in 10 days, I'll have to wait to treat the 1st time, & I don't think that's a good idea. This girl has lost weight, just getting over being broody
.
Any thoughts on this? Thanks...
