Txmom,
I am so with you, I am in houston too, in the Cypress area, the area that got over 12" of rain night between monday and tuesday. My yard is flooded too, but I had my hubby raise our coop by more than 1' last week, because a few weeks ago we had a bad rainstorm that left my coop so flooded my ducks were swimming in it. It was quite a sight..my chickens were walking around in over 9" of water. I was freaking out, but managed to get them all out and put in our garden shed for a few days until we could get the coop raised. Now it is sitting on a lake, the property value for the coop shot through the roof..ha ha. Either way I understand your frustration, enough rain already.
