Save yourself some money and go with JM... same birds less money.

As for breast / carcass size... in the link I gave it does say that the carcass size is much better than a DP breed but not as big as a CX but close.

Thanks for all the feedback! I raised 25 Cornish X's last year for the first time and was shocked by the growth rate and lack of movement of the birds regardless of space and forage given. But they processed great and I had no losses other than one who couldn't walk and was butchered before processing date. One thing I don't remember if anyone was already said, do they taste any different?

The longer you let the bird grow out, the stronger the "chicken taste." I thought my 11 + week old cornish xs tasted great. I had grown out some Dixie Rainbows (like a Freedom Ranger) before, too. The Dixies cost alot more to raise. Dixies were fed 24% protein feed. The Cornish were fed that also, but I lowered the protein to 20% at 6 weeks. I raised the DRs to 17 + weeks and finally butchered them because I was sick of feeding them. Supposedly, they were to be finished out in something like 12 weeks. The Dixies had a very strong taste that I didn't enjoy when eating as a roasted chicken, but do make great broth! The Cornish Xs tasted the best to me. They had a great taste (meat and broth) -- it was not at all bland, just not as strong as the Dixies. I thought my Cornish Xs had alot more flavor than the store bought chicken.
