Just wondering if anyone has a rainwater collection watering system in colder climates. If so, what do you do to keep it from freezing? I'm about to bust out the heater waterer, which I'm not a fan of. But it's gotta be done.

Thanks!

I’m not sure what your question is. Is this the way your provide drinking water to your flock? Or are you just looking to keep the collection tank from freezing? Either way a stock tank deicer should do the trick.

Yea lol for the flock. I have a rain barrel to collect water and use to fill waterers with a hose currently

I want to install a system using PVC with nipples for automatic watering and was wondering if the water in the pipes freezes.

Thanks. 👍

Hello indeed. I'm over in Litchfield county. Decent storm headed your way!

Thanks for the video, appreciate it. I'm not a huge fan of the heated waterer with wires in range of beaks. It was ok last year but I'd rather keep electricity away from the birds. Looking for something different this year. Already had some skim ice this year. It'll be that time before we know it.

No way of keeping them watered without a heat source. Yes it’s hitting us pretty good right now.
