We have kept hens now for around 6 years (with one year off whilst looking for a house to buy). We have bought a house in the Highlands of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Finding and buying fresh eggs was becoming a problem especially in the holiday season - so we bought some young POLs (we had moved our Egglu house and run with us!). They were hatched in England and grown on in Scotland (Hi-line brown) for small holdings and Croft’s - they are great layers (even on our short Highland days in the winter) and seem OK with the wind and the rain we’ve had so far. We’ve yet to experience them in the summer with almost 24 hours of daylight and the gloaming! We love reading posts and threads on this group and can always learn something new.

Hello, it's nice to have you here with us! It would be fun to see some pictures of your flock (if you care to share).

Make yourself at home!
