Raising a baby duck and chicks together, Questions!

Yeah my duckling goes crazy if one of my siblings has her, she even hisses at my sister. she’s imprinted on me and her buddies and she throws a fit if she’s alone. What we’ve done works for us so if you wanna try go ahead. Bye!

If it comes down to it and I feel I can't handle raising them together, I won't get the duckling. I'm 100% aware they will be sad if they don't have a buddy. =[
Decisions Decisions! In the end their well being is my top priority!

So why do you want to get just one then?

I love ducks they're amazing companions, my partner wants chickens. We only have room for about 4 birds max. So I'm doing research to see if I can make it work, but I understand if it's not pliable, I'll just have to go with chickens. I respect the animals enough to not just get them because I want them, I might have to give up the thought if I understand it will never work. =[

Your duckling needs another friend, chicks are not suitable flock mates for ducks. They are different species. I suggest if you can't get another duckling, don't get one at all.
Hey I understand that ducks are highly social and stuff, but I have one duckling and she thinks she’s just a chick that likes to swim. and she does great with everyone. I don’t think she has to worry much about the social part. But Riivo are you planning on being the mom of the group and having the duckling imprint on you? I’m not sure your ducky will be super happy if her mommy or siblings didn’t swim with her. Mine has imprinted on me and loves to take a break in the water with some mom one on one time.
