Hello,
I brought my Chicks home Feb 25, and have had them in the house staying warm. I was wondering how soon I could put them in there chicken tractor during the day and for how long and what does the temp outside need to be? Thank You:weee

I think they have to have all there feathers around 6-8 weeks or it needs to be 70 degrees out. I pretty sure that's what I've read. Mine are only a week and a half old so i haven't really read that far ahead yet guess I need to.

Did you check your other thread and answer the questions? I see no response from you regarding the brooder conditions. https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=468186
It's
VERY difficult to diagnose without needed information.

Sorry you are disappointed in your BYC experience, but you have to help us help you sometimes.

Kellydw, this section is usually where only the really really new people go - everyone else that has been on the site for a while has their specifics they are looking for and not many people visit this thread. Sorry you lost your chicks.

Don't give up on BYC - it is a great site!

i'm raising chicks but they always die...what's the best thing to do?

If you have a question, you need to make a new thread. From the index page, click on whatever forum the question belongs in, then click "post new topic" on the right hand side. Also, stickies like this thread are indexes information for the forum.
