If you are raising baby chicks to sale, how much would you charge for them ? Remenber the people around here like cheep stuff .LOL I hatched some Guineas this summer and sold them for 3.00 a piece , Just not sure about chicks

It all depends upon the breed.

If they are healthy chicks of a breed that's popular you could probably get $2.50 a chick.

If they are mutts... $1.75

Rare breeds... $3.00 to $4.00.

If I am buying chicks, I don't want to spend over 2 dollars a chick unless its something I REALLY want. A good price for me would be 1.50 to 1.75. Think about it this way, if you provide healthy chicks for a low price, more people will buy and you will still make a good profit.

I sell my chicks for $2. each the more rare ones are $3. each. I have alot of cheap people around here also, some just say that is way to high and leave, others think it is very reasonable. One thing that hurts is all are sold straight run, so unless you are very lucky you will end up with alot of roosters also. I don't have any problem selling them though, usually I can't keep up with the demand.

$2.50 is my max for pullets. otherwise its way to expensive if your buying like 50 chicks
