Raising chicken and turkeys together?

I'm considering raising heritage turkeys this year and was wondering whether it is possible to raise them along chickens?

I am. Look up blackhead disease though so you know what to look out for. I do plan on seperating mine, but so far no health or other issues. I've heard not to do it but....well....I am.

I keep my turkeys in a seperate pen but they are near the chickens. I have never had problems with blackhead. I keep the turkeys seperate because they can be rough on the chickens sometimes.

We kept ours separate for several years. Now they all run together. We have never had any problems from that.

I have 3 Royal Palm turkeys in with my hens. So far no trouble, although I DO have 2 Toms ... I'm looking to separate a turkey pair into their own area and find a mate for the lone Tom, who will then have his own diggs.
