I love all those colors! You can't go wrong with orpingtons. They are big, beautiful birds.
I'd love to have some mauve.

when people come to buy hens, the new to chicken folks are taken back by thier size. We hear alot of, I didn't know they would be that large I laugh a little inside, because thier medium size dog carrier isn't going to fit four full grown hens. We keep a stock of large boxes.

I understand. I have brahma mixes. People always seem shocked at their size.
