Hi folks - I love raising chickens and like having wild critters on the landscape. All too often the two are clashing to the detriment of both. One of the most rare and endangered species in the USA is the grizzly bear and one of the biggest threats to their survival is conflicts with people - and growing numbers of these are due to bears raiding chicken coops. I'd like to find a company that would design a coop that could withstand a hungry grizzly. It may sound impossible but beekeepers are having great success in fending off hives from grizzly. Can anyone recommend resources for coop designers who may be interested in helping to save bears, too? Thanks!

Just put you up several strands of electric fence like Achickenwrangler#1 said. Get a good fence charger and some metal t-posts and insulators to keep the fence from grounding out on the post and you shouldnt have any problems while the fence is on.
