I'm so glad I've joined and get to talk to awesome folks all over this country and others from Australia, Canada, etc.

I'm so new to chickens that I don't have any yet and want to start a small flock come spring. Is there anyone out there from NH to share ideas with, getting started, etc., that is close to me in Nashua?

I have NO idea as to what is the best way to house my chickens but I'm researching and reading my Backyard Poultry magazines cover-to-cover.

Any help from anyone close by would be so awesome!

Thanks,

Mimi

Hello and welcome to BYC

Have a look here:

I'm sure you'll find some members in your area, there are quite a few of us! In the meantime, have you looked at the Coops section? I had a browse there the other day and I was amazed at the variety of coops and many of them come with detailed plans/pics to show you how to build them too. Once you got that going you can look through the Breeds section and pick your breed(s). Also look at the Learning Center for a crash course in chicken keeping. As you can see you'll find everything you need right here! And if you have any questions, go to the relevant section and ask away, we're here to help!

Enjoy the site!
